LinkWP Launches

LinkWP Launches, curated WordPress content from you & me.

So I decided to throw a new project together, granted I don’t have the best track record when it comes to new projects. RaffleWP anyone?

Anyways, I’ve setup LinkWP as a way for people to share with others, useful tutorials, plugins, themes and such. I suppose it’s a link directory of sorts, with curated submissions from users.

There’s a wealth of categories available, and there should be something for everyone, those new to WordPress, and those more experienced who might find the odd gem or two.

Why set this up?

I’ve got time on my hands, what with the current situation WE ALL find ourselves in, it’s my way of offering something of use. It’s my way of giving something back.

Sure it’s not the most innovative of solutions, especially with so many other sites out there, but it’s mine and rasp.

So I’m going to be curating WordPress related content from around the web. From new themes, plugins, articles of interest .etc.

I’d encourage you to do the same, and it takes two minutes to sign up and submit an article or something of interest (WordPress related) to LinkWP.

I hope you find the site useful and find something new, maybe learn something you never knew. I’ll keep adding new links, and as I said a moment ago, it would be great to have you on board as well.

What are you using to build LinkWP?

Some of you may recognize the theme I’m using; some may not. I’m using the Chipmunk theme available here, and the members’ plugin for Chipmunk which is available here.

It’s a theme specifically made to curate content, with voting functionality.

It fits my needs and is a cinch to use, from a user perspective and a visitor one.

I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel here.

Social media is loud, Twitter is fantastic, but it’s a shouting match sometimes.

So I thought to myself why not make something which isn’t a shouting match, where people can sift through and find a new article they may have missed a resource they could do with, a new plugin or theme they’ve never heard of.

So there you go, now you know if you get a moment please do sign up, and submit a link.

Just make sure you submit to the introduce yourself section first! V. important, that way I know you’re not a spammer.

Message ends.
